Laureate of over thirty awards at national and international piano and chamber music competitions, including First Prize and the Special Prize for the best performance of a work by the competition’s patron at the 1st International Karol Szymanowski Music Competition. He has performed piano recitals and symphonic concerts in dozens of countries across three continents. From 2020 to 2022, he was an artist-in-residence at the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra

Graduate and lecturer at the Akademia Muzyczna im. Karola Szymanowskiego w Katowicach (Primus Inter Pares, 2019). He values the foundations of academic education equally alongside raw intuition and artistic naturalness, which allows him to move freely between various musical genres and fields of artistic expression.

He has made numerous recordings — solo, symphonic and chamber. The release J.S. Bach: Goldberg Variations | Tymoteusz Bies | DUX (2024) received the Fryderyk Awards 2025 award in the category Album of the Year – Solo Recital.

As a music producer, he has co-created dozens of hip-hop, pop, underground and experimental tracks. He has composed music for several feature films. Together with his brother Jacek, he co-creates the composer-producer duo BIESY. He pursues his interest in contemporary music performance as a member of Hashtag Ensemble. He is the arranger and artistic director of the project Paktofonika: Retrospekcje, with whom he has been performing since 2022 on the biggest Polish stages and music festivals, including the Main Stage of the Pol’and’Rock Festival, where the group’s concert gathered a record audience of over half a million listeners.

n 2021, he took part in the production of the film Bread and Salt (dir. Damian Kocur, Poland, 2022), playing the leading role and performing the piano works featured in the film.

The film received the Special Jury Prize at the Venice International Film Festival, as well as numerous awards and distinctions at international film festivals.

His acting debut was honoured with the JANTAR Award for Acting Discovery – Male Role at the Młodzi i Film festival in Koszalin (2023).
